He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fredrich Erker and Charlotte Erker (Eckert); his wife Hirlande M. Schmitt; his children, Ramona Triebold (Louis) of Mundelein, IL, Karen Hoffman (Kevin Bernasek) of Pleasanton, NE and John Erker of DeKalb; his grandchildren, Michael (Michelle), Justin (Michelle), Tyler, Ryan (Candace), Brandon, Garrett (Hope), Brittany, Carly, Coral and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Corben, Dylan, Ethan and Giovanni; his son Paul; and his brother Hans Erker.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family to be established at a later date.
