With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Allen of DeKalb, Illinois, born in Greenfield, Tennessee, who passed away on June 13, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Sharp and Tennie Lee Sharp (Vermillion); her husband James E. Allen; her brother Sam Sharp; and her children, Debbie Leon and Robert Allen.
She is survived by: her grandchild Honey; her children, Tim Allen (Ann) of DeKalb and Kathy Spejewski (Richard) of Smithton, Illinois; Jim and Pappa. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Shirley A. Allen Memorial Fund, addressed to the Allen Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, Ltd., P.O. Box 605, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL 60115.
