It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Evelyn Ward of Depue, Illinois, born in Madisonville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 6, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harvey and Dorothy Leora Cartwright (Baker); her husband Lewis Ward; and her granddaughter Grace Slaight. She is survived by: her children, Julia Ward Slaight (Sam) of Ohio, IL, John Ward (Leigh Ann) of Fairbury and Joni Ward Bennett (Jerry) of LaSalle; and her siblings, Dolores Fairchild (George) of Abilene, TX and Mike Cartwright (Betty) of Evansville, IN.. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
