He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughters, Stephanie Ruth (David) and Jennifer Smith; his grandsons, Michael and Matthew Ruth; his mother-in-law Virginia Adreani; his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Thiel (Gerald), Bruce Adreani (Anne Marie) and Gail O'Donovan (Peter); and his godchild Kelly Gorman.
