We bid farewell to Nancy L. Giese of Durand, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 1, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Schmerse and Pauline Schmerse (Peck); her husband Giese Electric; her brother Jim Schmerse; and her son Rick.
She is survived by: her son Dan Travis (Kelly); her grandchildren, Amber, Samantha and Eric; her sister Susan Sarver (Russell); and her sister-in-law Betty Schmerse. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Berean Baptist Church (5626 Safford Rd, Rockford, IL 61101). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Rock House Kids and Shriners Hospital.
