We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Phyllis E. Schmidt of Dwight, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, John C. Bolen and Algoga Bolen (Wells); her former life partner Walter "Junior" Schmidt; her husband James Walsh; her daughters, Barbara Ann and Mary Kay Zimmer; and her siblings, Paul Bolen, Sam Bolen, John Bolen Jr., Robert Bolen, Helen Vitzthum, Thelma Van Buskirk, Mary Cleary, Betty Myers and Lucille Clevenger.
She is survived by : her children, Marie Bunting (Lee) of Dwight, IL., Gene Schmidt (Diane) of Hanna, IN. and Dean Schmidt (Faith) of Dunlap, IL.; her stepchildren, Kathleen Lowery (Doug), Jay Walsh (Debra), Susan Walsh and John Walsh (Jodi); and her siblings-in-law, Hermie Schmidt (Janice), Joan Bolen and Rita Bolen. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held in accordance with current Covid-19 guidelines.
Memorials may be made in Phyllis's name to Heritage Woods Activity Funds, Kankakee Valley Hospice, or the donor's choice.
