George Zimmerman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Zimmerman of Earlville, Illinois, born in Mendota, Illinois, who passed away on May 9, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Zimmerman and Ruth Zimmerman (Lutz); his sister Patricia; his brother-in-law Joe Appleton; his brother Jerry; and his niece Teresa.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Spenader; his children, Anne Hollenbeck (Kurt), Clare Poupard (Tom), Paul Zimmerman (Rhonda), Matt Zimmerman (Valerie), Ellen Zimmerman and Rachel Zimmerman; his grandchildren, Christina Zimmerman, Jonathan Zimmerman (Ali), Kate Moser (Anthony), Elizabeth O'Quin (Jake), Constance Poupard, Joseph Poupard and Max Katz; and his stepson Tyler Spenader. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
