She was predeceased by: her father Jack Austin; and her sister Lana Rhodes. She is survived by: her mother Donna Joyce Austin (Simms); her husband Robert W. Adams; her daughters, Tosha Adams (Larry Hrabusicky, Jr.) of Edwardsville and Angela Hawks (Michael) of Edwardsville; her grandchildren, Christian Robert Adams, Tessa Grace Hawks and Robert Joseph Hawks; and her siblings, Starla (Harold Irvin) of Staunton, Karen (Robert Darr) of Wood River and Craig (Christina Austin) of Godfrey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
