He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd McAvoy and Nellie Swanson McAvoy; and his siblings, Betty Boynton, Jerry, Richard and Harold McAvoy.
He is survived by : his wife Myrna (Sharp); his children, Dan McAvoy (Karin) of Ft. Myers, FL, Steve McAvoy (Darlene) of Washington, IL, Debbie Dickerson (John) of Peoria, IL, Tom McAvoy (Julie) of Morton, IL and Patty Lester of Washington, IL; and his sisters, Mary Lou McAvoy of Peoria, IL, Donna Silber of Metamora, IL and Sandra Hopkins (Don) of San Antonio, TX.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
