She was predeceased by: her parents, Holmes Chism and Camilla Chism; and her siblings, John T. Chism Sr., Oscar Ross, Howard Smith, C. Q. Adams and O. P. Chatman.
She is survived by: her husband William Smith; her children, Malcom Chism, Fred Douglas Jr. (Veronica), Rodney Douglas Sr. (Anita), Kelvin Douglas (Sheila), Ceric Sanford (Angela), Camilla White, Rhonda Williams, Tawana Miller (Darris) and Tarkenya Holmes; and her siblings, Georgia Blue, Tawanda Hudson and Eugene Byrd. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and two great- great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 8625 State St, East St Louis, IL 62203. A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
