He was predeceased by : his parents, Stanley Palka and Joan Palka; and his granddaughter Courtney. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn A. Petrunich; his sons, Brian Palka (Tracy) and Joe Palka (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Allison (Charles Nichols), Michael (Barbara Neiland), Alyssa, Madeline, Marlee, Rylee, Keagan, Caden and Devin; his great grandchildren, Brooke, Emmett and Quinn; and his siblings, Sue Braden (late Richard "Skip"), Walter Palka (Kathy) and Greg Palka.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Glioblastoma Foundation https: //glioblastomafoundation.org/ Joe was born March 19, 1951 in Hammond, Indiana the son of Stanley and Joan Palka.
