Leon Phelps Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Phelps (Elburn, Illinois), who passed away on September 22, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Phelps and Mabel Lye Phelps Farley of Kaneville, IL.; his stepfather Albert Farley; his sister Patricia; his brother-in-law Don Frieders; and his nephews, Douglas Phelps and Kevin Frieders.
He is survived by: his brother Ted Phelps (Norrain); his nieces, Christine Breen, Kathy Frieders and Susan Miller (David); his nephew Steven Phelps (Vickie); and his cousins, Lynette Werdin, Keith Phelps, Sylvia Helser, Earl, Norman Shepard and Myron Lye.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Leon's name to benefit the Kaneville United Methodist Church as well as other favorite charities.
