He was predeceased by: his grandparents, LaVella Couture, LaVerne Couture, Robert Neil and Muriel Merrell; his aunt Peggy Witt; and his cousins, Patti Lynn Kosin, Tony Luchesi and Daniel Nelson.
He is survived by: his parents, Sharon Merrell and Brent Merrell; his brother Kristian Merrell; and also Cheryl Nelson. He is also survived by several cousins, aunts, uncles and an untold number of friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Mike's name.
