He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his son Michael Hewitt (Dawnette); his grandchildren, Nicholas Hewitt and Amber Derby (Christopher); his siblings, Jim Hewitt, Dee Heussner (Hewitt) and Marlene Hewitt; and also, Elmer and Many. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
