It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Franz of Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on March 11, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Franz and Margaret Franz. He is survived by: his wife Pat Franz; his daughters, Mandy Franz and Jamie Preston (Brian); his sisters, Barbara Appelhans and Donna Cooney; and his granddaughter Emma Katherine Preston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mourners are encouraged to review the funeral home COVID-19 public health policies ahead of time.
