It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John William Fitzgerald Jr. of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, born in Melrose Park, Illinois, who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. and Mary; his siblings, Nancy, Kay, Pat and Bill; and his significant other Sandra Aiello.
He is survived by: his sons, Tom (Amy) and Mike (Kelly); his grandsons, Alex, Jack, Tyler, Charlie, Don and Lou; his friend Wanda Barbre-Johnson; and also Bob (Carol). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Oehler Funeral Home (2099 Miner St, Des Plaines, IL 60016). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
