With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sharon Marie Van Stedum Barnes of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Stedum and Eugenia Van Stedum (Grajewski) of Chicago, Illinois.; and her sister Kathleen Katari (Srichand). She is survived by: her husband Kenn; her daughter Kim Benjamin (Bill); her siblings, Nancy Keckeisen (Bill), Ernie Van Stedum (Sandy), Carol Kollar (Chris Heine) and Gail Busch (Dan); and her goddaughter Amy (Tim). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the DuPage Memorial Chapel in West Chicago (306 Main St, West Chicago, IL 60185).
