She was predeceased by : her parents, Edgar Sides and Mary Sides (Smith); her son Gregory Melaik; and the father of her child Larry Melaik. She is survived by : her husband Dr. Lawrence Louis Melaik; her son Adam Melaik of Peoria; and her sisters, Della Prince of Bloomington, IL and Ginger Springer of Eureka.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
