He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, William "Bill" Tomlison and Lucille Ledbetter Oliver; his children, Robert Tomlison, Debra Tomlison of Springfield, MO, Jacque Sweeney and Pontiac; his grandchildren, Erin Mool (Nic), Nicole Ruhlander, Joshua Sweeney and Hannah Infinger (Matthew); and his half-siblings, Phil Oliver of Punta Gorda, FL, Shirley Oliver of Roseville, CA and Lynn Thorburn.

The family suggests memorials be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury.
