He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Jacob Aberle and Julia Rieger Aberle; his wife Patricia J. Doran; his children, Anthony Aberle (Gina), Mark Aberle (Janet), Joy Casson (Terry) and Angela Nicholson (Peter); his close friend Willa Virkler; his brothers, Lloyd of Fairbury and Bob Aberle of Fairbury; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Baer. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be given to the First United Methodist Church or Serenity Villa at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, both in Fairbury.
