He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester John and Barbara Kowal (Rost); and his grandchild Hayden Kowal. He is survived by: his children, Michael Kowal (Elyse), Matthew Kowal (Helena) and Ann Lembke (Jason); his grandchildren, Kayla Kowal (Carter), Laney Kowal, Laci Kowal, Kate Lembke, Alice Lembke and Quinn Lembke; his sisters, Karen and Kristine Kowal; and his siblings-in-law, Ralph Higgs (Sherry), David Higgs (Carolyn) and Barbara Higgs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Farmington Central Academic Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Farmington Betterment Association.
