He was predeceased by: his grandson Justin Robert Shrout; and his siblings, Orville, Virgil, Edward, Raymond, Harley, Wilma, Thelma, Mary, Vivian, Ruth, Lillian and Blanche.

He is survived by: his sons, Kimberly Clark Shrout of Georgetown and Darrin Duane Shrout of Danville; his granddaughter Tiffany Starr Shrout; and his wife Lulabelle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial donations may be given in his name to American Legion Dornblaser Post #203.
