He was predeceased by: his mother Bonnie Swift (Griffin). He is survived by: his children, Joshua Swift of Davis, Andrew Swift of Mt. Morris, Trina Goodwin (Troy) of Dakota and Becky Swift of Forreston; his father James Swift Sr. of Forreston; and his siblings, Barry Swift of Forreston and Penny Swift of Forreston.

A memorial has been established in Jamie's memory.
