He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emmert Duitsman and Margaret Duitsman (Pontnack); his sister Diane; his wife Marcia of Forreston, IL; his daughters, Lori Smith-Stuckenberg of German Valley, IL, Angela "Angie" Walker of Rockford, IL and Lisa Curran (James) of Warren, IL; his sister Dianne Freier (Bruce) of Freeport, IL; his brother-in-law Chuck Pool; and his siblings' child Preceding.
