It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Whalen (Forsyth, Illinois), born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on July 25, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Vincent and Grace Lenora Whalen (White); his daughters, Sharon Leith and Karen Grant; his grandson Gregory Heise; and his brothers, David and Jack.
He is survived by : his wife Dorothy of Forsyth, IL; his children, Michael Whalen (Gina) of Decatur, IL, Davena Ziemer (Mark) of Decatur, IL, Debbie Klein (Joel) of Sterling, IL and Lori Heise (Chuck Fisher) of Decatur, IL; and his siblings, Patty Richardson of Pana, IL, Rose Nichols (Art) of Decatur, IL, Tom Whalen of Decatur, IL. and Jerry Whalen (Mary) of Decatur, IL.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren.
