He was predeceased by: his wife Angela Lucero; and his parents, Carlos Lucero and Luisa Lucero. He is survived by: his daughters, Anna Orozco (Saul) and Monica Lucero; his grandchildren, Daniela, Aimee, Alexa, Viviann and Ivan; his brother Ricardo Lucero; and his sibling's child Many.
