He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Casselman and Velma Casselman (Shippy); and his siblings, Francis Nelson, Dale V. Nelson, Lyle Casselman, Glen Nelson, Mildred Downing, Marion Nelson and Aileen Nelson.

He is survived by: his wife Herta Casselman of Freeport; his grandchildren, Travis, Heather and Dana; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Teylon, Trent, Mason, Declan, Dylan, Darik, Kadence and Kinley; and his siblings, Larry Casselman of Freeport and Venita Krogull (Jack) of Freeport.
