He is survived by: his wife Mary C. Spencer; his son James A. Spencer; his brother Kenneth L. Spencer; his grandchildren, Benjamin Walz, Brandon Guzzardo, Nicole Shocklee (Guzzardo) and Talia Spencer; and his great grandchild Jace Shocklee.
