He was predeceased by: his mother Darlene Snyder; his sister Diane Snyder Heeren; and his nephew Jason Veer. He is survived by: his father Donald Snyder; and his sisters, Denise Fontana (Brent), Donna Veer (Tim) and Dawn Thruman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
