He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Stanis and Dorothy Stanis (Hanus); and his brother Mark Stanis. He is survived by: his wife Michele of Freeport; his daughters, Amanda Peterson (Kyle) of Las Vegas, NV, Nicole Vick of Avon, IL, Megan Rouse of Galesburg, IL, Alison Rouse of Freeport and Samantha Stanis of Freeport; and his grandchildren, Sabrina, Aaron, Clara and Payton.
A memorial has been established for the Freeport, IL Salvation Army.
