He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jay Grimes and Eva Grimes (Groat); his wife Dorothy J. Leonard; his children, Deb Blair (Joe) of Winslow, Judy Moore (Ken) of Freeport and Fred Grimes of Durango, CO; his brother Ray Grimes (Elaine) of Melvin, Michigan; his grandchildren, Eric Blair (Kate), Amy Doobay (Chad), Marc Blair (Jessie), Kevin Moore (Becky) and Megan Moore; his great grandchildren, Thomas Blair, Liam Blair, Patrick Blair, Francis Blair, Anthony Blair, Maura Blair, Luke Doobay, Oliver Doobay, Gloria Doobay, John Moore, Lucy Moore and Issac Moore; and his siblings, Ralph Grimes and JoAnn Sproul. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory.
