She was predeceased by: her parents, George King and Olive King (Bleeker); her son David; and her grandsons, Joel and Troy.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Karl F. Hepler; her sons, Mark Hepler (Tina) of Freeport, Dan Hepler of Freeport and Stephen Hepler (Renata) of Rock City; her grandchildren, Margo Hepler, Matthew Hepler, Brock Hepler, Rachel Hepler, Ryan Hepler, Aaron Hepler and Jessica Hoffman; her great grandchildren, Mazy Trimble, Nate Trimble, Elyse Hepler, Libby Hepler, Cora Hepler and Cooper Hepler; and her sister Arlene Urch of Greer.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Joan's memory.
