He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elroy Heim and Eleanor Heim (Kirchberg); his spouse Betty Blankenhorn; his children, Brad Heim of Freeport and Angela Suh (Daniel) of Elgin; his stepdaughter Melanie Pickett (Daniel) of South Wayne, Wisconsin; and his sisters, Faith Head (Daniel) of Oregon, Garnet Damon (Mark) of Durand and Hope Kane of Scales Mound. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory.
