She was predeceased by : her parents, Maurice Sherman and Esther Sherman (Samuelson) of Victoria, Illinois.; her sister Bette Hulin; and her daughter-in-law Linda Lane. She is survived by : her children, Steve Lane (late Linda Lane) of Victoria and Susan Smith of Victoria, Illinois; her grandchildren, Ian Smith (Christina) of Galesburg, Matthew Smith (Jessica) of Muscatine, Tyler Smith (Haylee) of Galesburg, Daniel Smith (Kadee) of Galesburg, Dean Lane (Laura) of Knoxville, Sylas Lane of Galesburg and John Lane of Galesburg, Illinois; and her great grandchildren, Bridgette Witherell, Adelaide Smith, Wesley Smith, Truitt Smith, Declan Smith and Willene Lane (Lilly).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Oaks Community Church (1868 Congregation Rd, Dahinda, IL 61428). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
