She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil David and Pauline Theresa Shepherd (Cirimotich); her husband Charles, Sr.; her sons, Timothy Colwell and Charles, Jr.; and her close friend Stella Frakes.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony D. Colwell (Marilyn) of Galesburg and Debora L. Rathburn of Abingdon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Christopher Colwell, Alexeis Hillier, James Rathburn, Michelle Batson and Anja Anderson; her sisters, MaryLue Riley (Oscar) of Galesburg and Judith A. Norris of Galena, Illinois.; and her cousin Larry "Butch" Asher of California. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson-Thomas Funeral Home (1849 N Seminary St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens (2040 US-150, Galesburg, IL 61401).
