It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles E. Colwell Jr. of Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Charles E.; his brother Timothy Colwell; and his stepdaughter Valerie Venuti. He is survived by : his mother Betty L. Colwell, Sr. (Shepherd) of Galesburg; his son Christopher Colwell (Rose) of Galesburg; his siblings, Tony Colwell (Marilyn) of Galesburg and Debbie Rathburn of Abingdon, Illinois; his stepdaughter Andela D. Reed (Steve) of Manito, Illinois; and his granddaughter Mercy Sickles.

“My sister and I went to Henderson Grove Elementary School with Chuck and of course continued on higher years with him. He was always a friendly and nice person in class. It was good to know Chuck.
