It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen McCormick of Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen McCormick to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thure Swanson and Esther Swanson (Olson); and her sisters, Mary McCombs and Ruth Basham. She is survived by: her husband Jim McCormick of Galesburg; her children, Lynn Crosiar (Dave) of Orion, Shirley Kistler (Todd) of Altona, Donna Holden (Bill) of Oneida, Kris Dillbeck (Ryan) of Oneida, Marie Roe of Pontiac and Donnie Smallwood of Cameron, Illinois; and her brothers, Edward Swanson of Colorado and Benard Swanson of Galesburg. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Liquor Box (347 West Hwy, Oneida, IL 61467).
