It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lorraine L. Ramsey of Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Bainter and Margaret Bainter (Carmichael); her husband Brent Ramsey; her sister Gloria Smith; her nephews, Phillip Smith and Ronald Ericson; and her sister-in-law Sally Benedict.

She is survived by : her former life partner Robert Marquith; her children, Jeff Marquith of Galesburg, Dennis Marquith of Knoxville and Karen Jones (Jeff Parkin) of Galesburg; her stepdaughter Kasey Sturtevant (Nick) of Galesburg; her grandchildren, Nicole Ollman (Nathan), Amanda McCue (Dustin), Zachary Marquith (Kassie), Tre Marquith (Amber), Caleb Marquith and Melody Block; and her great grandchildren, Nora and Haylee.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Harry E. Philblad American Legion Post 749 (749 Henderson Rd, Knoxville, IL 61448).

Memorials may be donated to the Knox County Humane Society.
