She was predeceased by: her husband Robert R. Karjala; her son Stephen "Steve" Karjala; and her brothers, Hubert, Donald, Eddie, Kermit, Robert and Orvan.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Karjala of Port Byron, IL, Rebecca Karjala (John Bushno) of East Moline, Sarah Lanford (Ladd) of La Canada, CA and Debbie Simaytis (Matt) of Port Byron, IL; her sister Lavona "Dickie" Blood of Marseilles, IL; her daughters-in-law, Laura Hayes and Sara Gullstrand Karjala; and her grandchildren, Sam Karjala, Lena Karjala, Joe Karjala and Corina Lanford.
