She was predeceased by : her parents, William Houston and Florence Houston (Jenkins); her husband Frank Miskus; and her siblings, Frieda Mingee, Sonna Hart and Robert Houston.

She is survived by : her children, Lance Vascura (Denise), Donnie Vascura (Diane Fadl), Bobby Vascura (Michelle Hall) and Chris "Sissy" Long; her nieces, Sheri Mueller (George) and Dottie Vrazel (Bubba); her nephew Robert Mingee (Patti); and her granddaughter Erica Carwile. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in her honor to any human society.
