It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Stickels-Schaefer of Gibson City, Illinois, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Soren E. Suntken and Gesina A. M. Suntken; her spouse Merle A. Schaefer; and her children, Rodney Stickels and Jill Rene Stickels.

She is survived by : her son Thomas Stickels (Linda) of Champaign; and her stepson Gregory Schaefer of Springfield. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
