It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Birkenbeil of Gibson City, Illinois, born in Piper City, Illinois, who passed away on May 30, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Marshal Froelich and Mayanna Kelley Froelich; her grandson Gavin; and her siblings, Ralph, Tom and Mary Jo.
She is survived by : her husband James Birkenbeil; her daughters, Sue Cordle of East Peoria, Beth Hornstein (Carl) of Melvin and Kate Main (Jason) of Gibson City; her grandsons, Austin Hornstein, Taylor Cordle and Connor Main; her great grandchild Ava McGuire; her siblings, Ray Froelich (Barb) of Piper City, Leo Froelich (Sue) of Chandler, AZ, Darlene Schisler of Abingdon, IL and Arlene Froelich of Taylorville, IL; and her close friends, Peg, Rosie and Norma.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
