It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Coffman of Gilson, Illinois, who passed away on October 15, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Nelson and Myrtle Nelson (VonTobel); her husband Sam Coffman Jr.; and her sister Marilyn Vernon. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Coffman of Riverside, Jim Coffman (Gail) of Maquon and Gail Bender (David) of Saginaw, Michigan; her siblings, Richard Nelson (Joan) of Farmers Branch, Texas and Carol Nelson (Ken) of Champaign, Illinois; her grandchildren, Jocelyn Araos (Ruben), Thomas Ferran (Amber), Mike Coffman (Dana), Sarah Mahrt (Adam), Abby Bender (Terry Smith), Dan Bender (Kathy) and Matt Bender (Sarah); and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Evan Coffman, Andreia, Zachary Mahrt, Jason, Ryan Bender, Luke and Emily Bender.
Memorial contributions in Donna's memory may be made to the Galesburg Community Foundation to benefit the Sam and Donna Coffman Endowment Fund.
