He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Stegall and Laura Stegall (Miles). He is survived by: his wife Lois Young (Rock); his daughter Tina (Adam Whelchel) of Creve Coeur; his grandchildren, Matthew Stegall of Gilson and Brody Whelchel of Creve Coeur; and his siblings, Clifford Stegall of Galesburg, Kathryn Phillips (Otis) of Paso Robles, CA, Dale Stegall (Claudette) of Gilson and Sandra Pittman of Oneida. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and "adoptive" children and grandchildren.
