He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Coffman and Bernice Coffman (Scharfenberg); and his brother T. J. Coffman. He is survived by: his wife Donna Nelson; his children, Lynn Coffman, Jim Coffman (Gail), Gail Bender (David) and Saginaw of Michigan; his sister Mary Bonansinga (Bill); his grandchildren, Jocelyn Araos (Ruben), Thomas Ferran (Amber), Mike Coffman (Dana), Sarah Mahrt (Adam), Abby Bender (Terry Smith), Dan Bender (Kathy), Matt Bender (Sarah), Luke and Emily Bender; and also, Ethan, Evan Coffman, Andreia, Zachary Mahrt, Jason and Ryan Bender.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Courtyard Estates of Knoxville.
