She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Parson and Bertie Parson (Brown); her husband Henry Shackleford; her daughter Katherine Ann Miles; and her siblings, Dorman Parson and Ernestine Augusta.
She is survived by : her daughter Christie Michelle Shackleford of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Madison Alexis, Olivia Nichole Plesche, Brent and Mark Miles; and her great grandchildren, Ashley Marie Miles and Nathan Miles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
