Dorothy Lorraine Hoffman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Lorraine Hoffman of Glen Carbon, Illinois, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 10, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard D Hoffman; her parents, Chester Lockard and Mabel Lockard; her siblings, Alvin, James, Chet, Eleanor and Shirley; and her son-in-law Randy Vangilder.
She is survived by: her children, Marty Hoffman (Pam) of Collinsville, IL, Diana Huniak (Nick) of Port St and Melea Vangilder of Lafayette, LA; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Huniak, Philip Huniak, Lauren Herman, Christian Hoffman, Simon Hoffman, Emily Kladifko and Rachel Martin. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (1300 Beltline Rd, Collinsville, IL 62234). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Sunset Hill Cemetery (50 Fountain Dr, Glen Carbon, IL 62034).
