It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luther Leroy Holst of Glen Carbon, Illinois, born in Collinsville, Illinois, who passed away on April 27, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. William and Ellen Elizabeth Holst (Holtman); his former wife Kathlyn June Adams-Holst; his son Howard Adams; and his siblings, Esther Holst, Dorothy Holst, Helen Shillito, David Holst, Fred Holst, Walter Holst and Frank Holst.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Ann Holst of Glen Carbon, Illinois; his children, Penny Piotrowski (David) of Lockport, Illinois and Lloyd Adams of Springfield, Illinois; his stepchildren, Jeff Bergbrader (Theresa) of Granite City, Illinois, Lisa Hoover (Chad) of Edwardsville and Judy Hollmann (John) of Branson, Missouri; his grandchildren, Ryan Piotrowski (Nicole), Mathew Piotrowski, Amy Piotrowski (Austinn McGann), Austin Adams and Samantha Adams; and his great grandchild Oliver Piotrowski. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church.
