With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Kathleen Schmieder of Glen Carbon, Illinois, born in Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Kathleen Schmieder to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Christopher Fisher and Mildred Fisher (Canty); her husband Hugo Schmieder; her stepfather Herbert Neuner; and her close friend Al Reinhardt.

She is survived by : her children, Gene Schmieder (Kathy) of Maryville, IL and Peggy Eversmann (Tom) of Collinsville, IL; her grandson Christopher Schmieder (Lauren) of Glen Carbon, IL; her great grandchild Nolan Schmieder; her grandson Nick Eversmann (Corinne) of Collinsville, IL; her great grandchildren, Julia and Madeline Eversmann; her grandson Ben Eversmann (Sarah) of Maryville, IL; and her great grandchildren, Quinn Eversmann, Noah Eversmann and Thomas Eversmann (Kate) of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lake View Funeral Home (5000 N Illinois St, Fairview Heights, IL 62208). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
