She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Taylor (Lewis) and Charles Esco Batey; her sisters, Carol Neeley and Kathryn Eastwood; and her stepson Scott Carman.

She is survived by : her husband Hubert Carman; her son Cord Barger (Sheila); and her stepsons, Gary Carman (Becky) of Golconda, Ricky Carman of Golconda and Wesley Carman of Arizona. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grand-children.

Expression of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
